To read and write Bosch edc15c11 for a Volvo xc90 2.4d5 2005 model, which ecu programmer? how? what about kess, ktag, mpps etc?

1. MPPS: worked

Only boot mode
I’m did this ECU in boot with MPPS 

2. Kess V2 via bootmode: worked

I made a few of these ECUs from Kess V2 via bootmode without any problems.

Guide: Use the help files of ksuite… its easy…

3. fgtech galletto: worked

I read EDC15C11 just a few days ago with fgtech galletto

and used the diagram posted below:

No problem reading/writing. FYI, you have to make checksum before writing new file, since galletto does not support chksum correction on these ECUs

4. MPPS: worked too

Mpps in bootmode, use bosch generic protocol. Works fine done it several times.
Ore you can desolder chip and use a eprom programmer.
I had no sucsess with kess ore ktag. Ktag would only write backup, and not the 29f200 only.
I use ktag to make backup, and read and write 29f200 with mpps in bootmode.

5. fgtech galletto on boot mode… very easy.

Galletto V54 0475 is better than fgtech V54 0386: win7 works + more models

Newest FGTech Galletto V54 with serial number 0475 is much powerful than fgtech V54 with serial number 0386, it adds dozens of car models with checksum working great.

Why update FGTech Galletto V54 SN 0475 instead of old one with SN 0386?

1. I just checked it and 0475 is Euro version, better one than the 0386, but it has different hardware compare to 0386 (Chinese).
2. Reprogram to 0475 and then you can use better software and also windows 7/10 32/64 bit OS.
3. 0475 works well with Windows 7/10 32/64 bit OS.
4. All you who has date changing problems or dont work windows 7 or windows 10 OS, update your tool from 0386 to 0475. Then all these issues are gone!!!!

Solution :

Hello, I would like to explain to you step by step how to install your FGTech Galletto V54 correctly with Windows 7. To do this, you must first uninstall the already installed software and the drivers.

I’m using:V2.3.2 KESS V2 Plus V2.13 K-TAG plus Fgtech galletto V54 package offer

Then we start with step:

1. Run “FGTech Galletto Edited v1.0.exe” as an administrator. Important: Do not create a desktop icon and run the program yet.

2. Next, connect the Galletto device to the power supply and then connect it via USB. The automatic driver installation fails. But do not worry, the installation is done manually.

3. Right-click on the “Computer” icon and select “Manage”. As soon as the window opens, click on Device management and select the USB port “FGTech”. Here you have to click “Update driver software”. And then click “Browse the computer for driver software”, then “Select from a list of device drivers on the computer”, then “Have Disk” and “Browse”.

4. Now look for the folder of “FGTech” on drive C. Here you open the folder “fgtech_new_driver” and select the following file: “fgtibus.inf”! Confirm everything, wait for the installation, and close all windows.

5. Run “FGTech Galletto Edited v1.0.exe” again as an administrator. Important: Do not create a desktop icon and run the program yet.

6. Run “Galletto win7.exe” as administrator. Create and install the desktop icon. If the installation is complete, start the program as an administrator.

7. Ignore the next two windows with hints and confirm with OK. FINISHED!!!
