How to update Ktag/Kess v2 software to Ksuite v2.11

Hi guys, good news for you all. i have updated my Kess V2 2.10 with firmware 3.099 to 2.11 software. And also use the Ksuite 2.11 to get it run on Ktag with 5.010 fw. Everything works great in Kess + Ktag.

Kess V2 Firmware 3.099:

Lets see what you need :

1.First you need to download files for your sd card

Kess 2.11 SD card Files

Ktag 2.11 SD card Files
This is not uploaded by me

2.You need to download Ksuite 2.11 files
Kess 2.11.exe

incl 4 files: part 1-part 4
If you got security pop up just ignore that..

This image is on my language for you be different but for English user to ignore this go on “Details” bottom left corner , when open new text just click “Visit this site” something like that

AFTER DOWNLOAD DISCONNECT FROM INTERNET ITS SAFIER FOR YOUR KESS YOU CAN FORGOT TO DO IT LATER

When you download all that you need to open kess v2 tool box and unscrew this 4 screws:

When you unscrew just pull out the mainboard
P.S Unplug from electricity 

In red area, it is the sd card for the kess

Get out sd card . I used android phone to connect card and PC

When you open sd card you will got this 4 folders:

Make a backup like a did , just copy this file to new folder and rename it Kess 2.10 files etc etc what you like…
I make like this

Make sure to save this if something goes wrong

After you make a copy delete all from Kess SD card .
Than copy SD 2.11 files to Kess SD card

When its done , bring back SD card to Kess mainboard make sure to put it right and lock her.
When you lock sd card put back mainboard into kess box and close it with screws.

DO NOT CONNECT YET KESS WITH PC OR POWER JUST MOVE TO THE SIDE

We finished First part of this

Now to install 2.11 Software to pc
Unpack all downloaded parts to one folder (i mean on Ksuite part 1,2,3,4)

Just copy all new files to Ksuite folder its easy , but i suggest to make a copy of old files

When process finish you got Ksuite with 2.11 software

Note: kess v2 & ktag software update solutions above are offered by Nemanja in the CT community. (BIG THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!) BUT it’s not tested by pros. Not sure that it works for all kess/ktag. Probably use with unknown security.

For sake of security, you can try tested versions:

KTAG fw: v6.070 Ksuite v2.11

KESS V2 fw: v4.036 Ksuite 2.11 update service

And if K-suite v2.11 is too old for you, newer versions also have tested OK by pros:

Ktag Ksuite 2.28/2.31: No internet connection

I used K-suite 1.93 or 2.10 and works well, but now I have dump from car that this versions not recognize it and I want to use newer software for my KTAG programmer.
Tried install Ksuite 2.28 and 3.21 but on startup give me same error about: “Connection to the internet not detected: check that you have a working internet connection then try again.”

When I click “OK” Then main menu shows, but almost all are grey. Older versions still work without problem.

How do people think of Ksuite 2.28 or 2.31 start problem? Here you go…

from v2.26 ktag working only with internet connection

2.25 Last working soft since now

there is no point using this software with your clone
install it, then overwrite it with the 2.11

If CKS not work, Install newer KSuite except the C++ Runtime, and without deinstall, install 2.08.
Then it works.

Did you try with Kess v2 on Bench? Connecting with universal cable? Without Boot Mode?

Kess v2 china clone has been verified to work no issues with Ksuite v2.28.
If all not work, then get an MPPS and try. MPPS is always a good backup tool specially for VAG. Some ECUs do so weird things, nobody can explain, this is why most tuners have more than one tool from different companies.

So, choose a lower version ksuite for Ktag clone or a tested ksuite 2.28 working perfect with kess v2….
